Anthea Thornton

My two children (now in their thirties) received an excellent early education at the school. Now that I am retired, and with time on my hands I would like to help in some way as a ”pay-back” for their happy formative years.

I have wide professional experience to bring to my role as a governor. Though now retired, I spent most of my working life as a teacher - first in secondary school science and then, after retraining in 2000, as a primary school teacher, finally working in a local prep school.

I also work as a volunteer with Guideposts, an organization for adults with learning disabilities, and at Hertford museum.
